Conformational Change
The vast majority of organic molecules are dynamic structures which are able to adopt a number of interchangeable conformations. While organic chemists may dispute that a conformation change constitutes a "mechanistic process", many biochemical processes rely on protein conformational changes to initiate bio-reactions.
