Gram formula weight (molecular mass) = 58.693 Purity = 99 % Solubility in organics = insoluble An alloy of nickel and aluminium in which the aluminium is removed by treatment with sodium hydroxide to leave a porous and hydrogen rich form of nickel which acts as a hydrogen rich hydrogenation catalyst.
