Amines are weak Brønsted bases, and they are nucleophiles.

Replacement of the hydrogen atoms in ammonia by alkyl or aryl groups given rise to three types of amine: primary amine RNH2 , secondary amine R2NH , tertiary amine R3N.

Tertiary amines are more basic and nucleophilic, but they are also more sterically hindered which can make prediction of relative reactivity difficult.
